Our story

An atelier house on the water.

Edgewater & Co began with a simple refusal — that good furniture should be disposable.

We started where the light is best — at the edge of the water.

The idea for Edgewater came from a worn-in sofa that outlived three apartments and two moving companies. It had been re-covered once, tightened once, and loved the whole way through. Somewhere along the line, most furniture stopped being made like that — built to be replaced instead of kept.

So we built a house of our own. No showrooms, no markups for square footage on a shopping street. Just considered pieces, honest materials, and a website that tells you exactly what you're buying and stands behind it.

Made to be kept

Every frame is kiln-dried hardwood, corner-blocked and doweled so it won't loosen with the seasons. Cushions are a feather-wrapped foam we'd live with ourselves, and covers come off to be washed or, years from now, replaced. We build for the second decade, not the first delivery.

Delivered with care

Furniture is heavy, and the last mile matters most. We ship with careful freight carriers and give you a clear delivery window, so you know exactly when it's arriving. If it isn't right, we arrange the return — no wrestling a sofa back into a box.

What we hold to.

  • Online only, so what you'd spend on a showroom stays in the joinery.
  • Honest specs — real dimensions, materials, and weights on every product.
  • Reviews shown in full, the critical ones included.
  • A 10-year frame warranty and a 30-day try-at-home return.
